Ok I have a Kenmore side by side 596.52679200.. It just stopped making Ice. I took the Icemaker off to look it over and I saw that the inside coating was peeling off. got a new I/M and put it in. I have checked the filler tube (Clear) no ice stuck inside. I do get water out of the door, but I have noticed that the water line from the back of the Fridg. to the top of the filler tube does not have water all the way to the top. It is 2" short of the top not sure if I have a bad value? Can I test this some how. I cant get the I/M to make any nose at all when I move the arm up and down... Also FYI i have replaced my water filter when I got the new I/M just to be sure.....

Swap the wires between the ice maker and water dispenser solenoids on the water valve. Depress the water dispenser lever for a few seconds (the freezer door should be closed) and check if there is water in the ice maker. If the answer is Yes then the water valve is the culprit.
