I cannot find this water filter anywhere...ran out of spots to look...but you know us men...we can't find anything :-0
appreciate any help you can offer...

Hi Mike,

It is very strange but it's not shown at the breakdown diagrams too. According to the Owners manual (page 7) the water filter, as always, should be in the back upper right corner of the fresh food compartment. If it's not there, I'm speechless.

thanks Gene, I thought as much...do you think its ok to put one in-line at the bottom right (back) behind the vege bin? (water storage line?)

No Mike. I don't think it's a good idea. You definitely can instal an in-line water filter, but it should be in the water supply line, before the water inlet valve.

I would call GE in such situation because this is their defect and they should take care of it.
