Temp. control board would change temps by itself after a temperature was entered. (ie. set freezer to 0 degrees and it would jump to 71, same with fresh food side) I changed out the temp. control board and the new one has all three digits on freezer temp and refrig. temp lit up. (ie. 111 &111) As you advance the temp up on either one the digits jump to 222, 333,444 etc. I think the new board is bad. Can you confirm this?

What is the part number of the control board you installed? Did it come with the installation instructions? If it did, did you follow the instructions?

Part #WR55X10120. Installation instructions very brief, said there will be an unused connector with this install which was correct. The original board also had an unused connector. I compared the two boards (old and new) and they are identical.

In such situation I would suspect the main control board (on the back of the fridge) because it supplies power for the temperature control board.

- The main control board Part number: AP4436216

Gene, I also suspected a bad main board and replaced it and had the same result with the temp. control board.

Check for DC voltage between the J4-2 & J4-3 and J4-2 & J4-1 at the main control board. Post the results.
