First, thanks for this site's existence to help out.

The icemaker in my Amana fridge stopped producing ice.
Took the icemaker unit out and cleared out ice inside the inlet hose sticking through the rear wall.
Reinstalled the icemaker and indeed the shut-arm arm is in the down position. Icemaker was heard to be clicking (gears moving) and the ejector arm bar was seen going through a rotation cycle.
The water line on the back of the fridge was detached and briefly inspected.......no water really in it.
Have not heard the water kick on at all to fill the tray.
Icemaker hasn't done anything since that I know of, i.e. not running more cycles.

Is this a case of needing a new water valve?
