Model Number: PCF25MGWABB Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
ICE Maker turned off after formation of large stalagmite in freezer section from melting ice. Added ice to bin from another machine, left ice maker off, and everthing worked fine for 8-10 days and the ice melted again. There is no evidence of thawing in the freezer compartment and the refrigerator section is fine. Can a defrost themostat occasionally not re-start the cooling cycle at the proper time kepping the defrost cycle on long enough to melt ice? What else could be the cause? How can you shorten a defrost cycle?
