Model Number: GSS25QFMCBB Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I have A GE JUNK REFRIG. I HAVE A FREEZER THAT KEEPS FREEZING UP I HAVE PUT A NEW CONTROL BOARD ON IT FREEZE UP I'VE CHECK THE DEFROST HEATER I'VE CHECK THE DEFROST THERMOSTAT ITS GOOD AND YES WITH A MULTIMETER THERE IS A THERMISTOR NEXT TO THE DEFROST THERMOSTAT COULD THIS BE THE PROBLUM OR COULD THE NEW CONTROL BOARD BE BAD

With the fridg running, unplug it, and locate the 3 pin gray power connector on the bottom of the motherboard. Remove it and place a wire jumper between the two pins that mate with the board labeled pins line and def. Plug in fridg, it should start defrosting. If not, you have either a bad heater or defrost thermostat.
