Model Number: TFX20JRXAWW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
The ice maker water supply didn't shut off after filling the ice cube tray causing a significant flood in my kitchen. I noticed that the water inlet valve was very hot and giving off a slight burning smell. So I removed the valve and installed a new one (Manufacturer's Number: WR57X10051). This did not fix the problem, water continued to flow into the ice maker without being shut off, and the new valve was extremely hot after just a few minutes. Does anyone have any ideas on what else the cause could be, and a possible repair?
