Whirpool gold refrigerator/Freezer not working
Model Number: gc5shgslx Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi,
I have a whirpool gold refrigerator that stopped working the other day. The coils are clean and all the fans work but the compressor is cold. I had an appliance guy come out and he would not do much as he said on my model the start and run capacitor and relays are built into the cpu board and not on the compressor. I am not scared of electronics and can solder so I pulled the cpu board and sure enough they are. Question being: How do I know which parts are bad. The cpacitors are big capacitors and i do not know where i can get them. they are 820uf 200v hb series caps. Is this probably my problem or is the compressor bad. Any help please. I do not have the money to replace a $1300.00 fridge and need to fix this one. Please help me.. Ads By Google Related Models
