The ice maker suddenly stopped producing ice. I changed the water inlet valve. Have now waited over 48 hrs and it is still not producing ice. The metal arm on the 'Automatic Ice Maker' box is at the 'ON' position. The fridge and freezer are working. What else should I look at changing?

Hello. First check if the inlet tube is not frozen. If it's not run one test. Take off the cover from the ice maker head. Using multimeter set to AC volt check for 120v between test points L and N. If the voltage is present - replace the ice maker. The ice maker Part number: AP2984633
Thank you. Post the results. Simon.

Thank you. Post the results. Simon. Voltage was present but I decided to change the ice box anyway. When I told my wife the price of the ice box she advised that we would just buy ice trays and produce ice 'the old fashioned' way! Five days later the ice box started working some 15 days after changing the water inlet valve. She tells me it started working because God knew she need ice for her family Easter gathering. It is the most logical reason so I will go with the flow. Thank you for your advice.
