Hello:
I think I have a faulty thermistor bin, too much ice is being produced. The thing is my replacement part for my monogram model is around $100 for part # WR55X10545. Whirlpool makes, what looks exactly the same, a part for under $30.00. Its part number is #2217288. Its the same length & size, same connector and even the grid it plugs into looks exactly the same. Can I use this part in lieu of the monogram part???

You can try the less expensive part. Looks like it should work.
