The freezer LED/thermostat quit working about 6 months ago, but the freezer still worked fine. Last week the freezer quit and we lost a lot of food.
I replaced the battery, then the LED display unit with no luck, but the freezer came back on and seems to be freezing the food again.

I'm about to replace the control unit, but wanted to see if anyone has suggestions/diagnostics about getting the display to work again so I can set temps and get alarms.
