Evap coils froze over. Defrosted it and cleaned cond. coils they were very bad. Should I go ahead and turn it back on or pull it out to defrost timer. I hate to do that unless I really have to.

You have an adaptive defrost board behind the control panel that may be bad. Go to web site www.applianceaid.com and uise the preocedure to put it in defrost. If compressor stops, but no defrost, you probably have a bad defrost thermostat clipped to the top of the evaporator.
