Our water dispenser continues to leak, a slow steady stream, and no longer dispenses a full stream when depressed. A few months ago it started acting up (a few seconds delay before water came out, then a full blast that sprayed water everywhere) and then it seemed to stop altogether and we haven't been using it recently. I knew I needed to figure out the problem soon but today somebody tried to get water and now it won't shut off completely and I need to shut off the supply.
I understand there is a valve, likely in the back but does that control the flow - on/off - when dispenser is depressed and released? I assumed it would be some type of solenoid but who knows? A couple of years ago I had to replace the solenoid that controls the ice dispenser flapper. I should mention that when the dispenser arm is depressed I hear nothing at all, the slow stream just continues as it does when the arm is released. I'm thinking I should hear something right? Thanks--
