Hello experts,

Tonight our GE profile just quit.
No compressor running and no fan running. No cooling or freezing obviously. We are keeping the kids stuff in ice bags.
It has light inside the refrigertor side
and the icemaker on off button has light.
The door lights are all out.
I think for a couple of days one of the door lights was blinking
and we have ignored it I think the change filter light. We dont use the
water anyways. Now all the door button lights are out. The temperature control lights and
led readings on the right side door jam top bar is also all dead.

One symptom was before it quit, it had built a mountain of ice. Could the motor
have burned the invertor thing ( I read this in this forum ;-) where is it located?
I spent time removing a zillion screws in the back and checked the board. Nothing burnt
that smells like barbeque.
Please help. Does the invertor also power the lights?

I think it is PSI23SGNABS. Thanks for the correction.

Your model # is PSI23, not PS123
You can go to the "sticky" above :GE refrigerators (GS & PS models for info on this, if you have a meter you can check the thermistors per the info there.
Also, pull the motherboard out and check the power relay bottom for bad solder connections.
If ok, I would order a new motherboard AP4297272 and the fresh food thermistor.

Rich, I have been checking different posts. Isnt the thermistor instruction valid only if it is cooling. and you can set temperature.. Thats what I read in the instructions

Your fresh food thermistor could be way off value causing the compressor to shut down.
