Hi,
I have a GE Profile Side by Side. I recently replaced the Auger Motor. When the setting is set to ice cubes and the switch depressed, the solonoid works and lifts the arm to the trap door. The auger motor doesn't run. It appears it's not getting power. Could my solonoid be bad? Does it transfer power to the auger motor? or is it a different item as the power appears to be direct to the auger motor and not from the solonoid.
Thanks, Jay

[FONT='Times New Roman']No, the solenoid has nothing to do with it. What you need to do is check good for loose connection. Look good at the plug at the top of the freezer door for a loose connection. Look inside the auger motor housing for a loose connection. There is also a plug that allows you to remove the auger housing inspect for loose connections there. When you are looking for loose connections at the plugs, be sure to unplug them and look for burnt contacts. If you don’t find anything the dispenser board may be bad.
