Hello. This model is wired a bit different from most models. The problem is most likely the defrost thermostat [ AP4247469]. Be aware that on this design, the evaporator fan doesn't get voltage to it until the defrost thermostat is chilled down to below 50°F. It takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes of run time before this occurs, so when the part is replaced, you have to allow it about 10 minutes before you deem the repair a non-success. I hope this was useful information for you!

Did as instructed, freezer is chillen nice, but the thing wont shut down. I let the fridge run overnight and when I got up, the thing was still running, so I turn the thermostat counterclockwise to lower its temp to see if the fan would stop but it didn't. It would only stop if I turned it to off. ???????

Hello. Sounds like the temperature control [AP4247443] is bad also. If there's anything else you need help with, just let us know. Have a great day!
