I replaced the timer-def board and when I unplugged the old one the compressor cut off. I plugged in the new one and the compressor did not start back up. The unit has not come back on in three hours now. What could have unplugging the board have to do with this?

Hello. It sounds to me like the new board [AP4070403] is defective. It cannot cause the compressor to fail, but it is still ill-advised to replace the board with power applied. I always remove the new board from it's plastic enclosure before installation so I can see the connections are properly lined up. Then put the plastic enclosure back on and reassemble before power is reintroduced to the unit. Sure hope this helped!
