GE SMR03BASWW mini refrigerator with freezer shelf and single control knob.

The problem was that the unit was silent and room temperature.

There is a wiring diagram and even a parts list sticker on the back of the unit.

So I was able to identify and check the temperature control wires coming out of the cooling compartment and found there was no continuity. I jumped the control wires together and the compressor came on and the unit is cooling.

Here's my question. The part number for the temperature control unit is WR09X10021. I didn't see the part listed as available under the Find Parts section of this website. Can anyone help me get price and availability for this part?

And also, how can I remove the control unit? Since they list a part number for it on the back of the refrigerator, I assume it can be replaced, but I don't see how to get it out. It is mounted in the top right corner of the cooling compartment, between the freezer tray and the wall. The freezer tray is screwed into it, but removing that screw does not free the module. It looks like there is a thin flexible seal of some type between the wall and unit. Can I take a razor blade and cut the seal to remove it?

Thanks

Searching for the WR09X10021 part number returns results for a damper control. Maybe the wrong part number is printed on the back of the unit, but what I need is the temperature control. It is has a reostat type knob that clicks off at one extreme and then turns smoothly to the highest (coldest) setting. I found a part that ends in 27 instead of 21, that looks like it could be what I need, but I can't verify that until I can figure out how to remove it from the frig.
