The 5/16 outlet tube from the water valve is broken and leaking. I removed the tube from the Water inlet valve, cut off the broken tube and re-inserted into the water inlet valve but now it's leaking from the the valve. I've notice the valve had a ring with pins that somehow it came off. Do I need to replace the valve?

Hello . Yes you will need to replace the Part number: AP3192626
if the metal ring has come out of the valve , this is a quick disconnect and when pulled out of the valve, valve is bad. Thank you and good luck !

What is the correct way to disconnect the plastic tube from the water inlet valve so that I have to do it again I won't damage the valve and the metal ring?

Hello the proper way to remove the water line, is to push the line into the valve ,when you see the plastic ring give in ,hold the ring down against the valve and it should release, and allow you to remove the line.Thank you
