My ice maker is making ice correctly but water is leaking from the dispenser and forming a block of ice which prevents ice cubes from being able to come through the chute. What part is needed to correct this?

If I am reading the diagram correctly, the areas are 17 and 18. Water is.was leaking from the ice maker, dripping down on the inside shelves on the freezer and also collecting at the dispenser (inside of freezer door) where the ice cubes should come out. Because of the big block of ice at the chute/dispenser, no ice cubes can come out. If I remove the block of ice that has formed in that area, then water will leak out again.

Make sure the temperature in the freezer is bellow 10°F. If the ice maker did overflow, then the problem is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. If it did not overflow, then the ice maker itself is bad and has to be replaced. The head cover and the arm should be used from the old ice maker. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP3103466

I will order both parts you mention. I hope it is clear to you that the ice maker iis making ice and when you press the ice button on the front door panel to get ice, water comes out instead of ice. The ice cubes are not separated, like 5 or 6 together. The "chute" for the ice cubes to dispense is frozen due to the water collecting and freezing in that area.

Now I'm confused. Where water is coming from and where it's coming to when you pushed the ice cube release lever?
Gene.
