This has been a good side by side and should have several good years left but it frosts over every few days and needs to be manually defrosted to continue working well...
I've been told that the defrost timer is working but the heater is not. Is replacment of the defrost heater a DIY repair? My model number is not listed in the database... can I order the part for the model number closest to mine?

Who diagnosed the problem?

The model number you posted does not come up anywhere, even in Frigidaire database. Verify and repost it.

Gene.
