The unit experienced a 220 V power surge about two weeks ago. Everything survived except the ice maker. All temperatures, water dispenser, ice auger, etc. work fine. However, the ice maker does not empty, and most likely, the fill valve is not functioning.
What parts were most likely damaged by the surge?
(In case you are interested, surge was due to a GFI that failed, blowing off it's neutral wire, and then getting line to line power to the refrig because of shared neutral wiring in house.)
Thanks

Without a neutral line, no power was consumed. Not possible for the line to go to 225 volts under this condition.

Not so fast! Draw a schematic and look at it.
If two circuits each from a different 110 V leg share the same common, and there is a break in the shared portion of the common, then the two hot legs become connected together, line to line, resulting in outlets on each let seeing 220 V. The fridge was on one of these outlets.

If in the breaker box you loose the neutral connection, then all outlets will get 230 volts if any load is turned on. If one outlet is missing neutral, the voltage will only be 115 volts.
