devsam2@yahoo.com,
In such GE refrigerators when the evaporator fan goes bad it causing damage to the main control board. Both of these parts should be replaced together. Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model GTS22WCMARWW Gene.

Gene,
GE model #GSS25UFMC-BB. The the refrigerator is too warm. There is no air coming thru the port window and some frost on the back of the freezer. The motor run continuously. I checked the parts diagram for a defrost timer and apparently it does not have one. Now what? |

I have a Maytag MSD2756GE with a similar problem. However, I have not noticed any frost build up of any kind. I normally keep the refrigerator temp control in the middle. I noticed the fridge getting warm and set the control all the way up. This seems to be working for now. I've checked for air flow and can feel cool air coming in at the top.

Hi Gene,
My MayTag MSD2756DE refrigerator is getting warm, the freezer is working fine without any frost. I have visually inspect the evap fan behind the panel in the freezer, everything seems to be normal. No frost build up. All air vents are cleared as well. I have read your previous posting, look like it could be a bad damper control? If so what part do I need? Please advise. Best Regards, Frank |

Keith,
Looks like there is a problem with the defrost in your fridge. You can find the complete troubleshooting instructions in one of our previous posts: Freezer is fine, refrigerator is too warm. Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model GSS25UFMCBB Gene.

Hi Joe,
Remove the rear cover in the freezer and check the evaporator coil. Normally it should be completely covered in light snow. Remove the back cover and clean the condenser coil. Make sure the fan next to the compressor is running. Post the results. Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag refrigerator Model MSD2756GEB Gene.
