What kind of ice maker is in your fridge? Old style with the shut off arm on the left side or a newer electronic ice maker with the green LED?

trojans,

Remove the rear cover in the freezer and check the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat for continuity. The defrost thermostat should be cold at the test time.

The defrost heater

The defrost thermostat

If there is nothing wrong then the control board has to be replaced.

- The part number for the control board is AP4318990

- The part number for the defrost heater is AP3502547

- The part number for the defrost thermostat is AP3475238

KTK. Please post serial#. Also check if the freezer fan is running, also is the center divider of the box hot to the touch, if it is, yake off the back access cover and veriify if the condensor fan is running, or if you have a very dirty condensor.

Hi,

I have the same issue. I have a GE (Ser# LD308303; Model# GTS22UBMBRCC). The freezer is very cold and warm in the frig.

I removed the back panel and yes there was ice all over the evp coil. After reading this post, I decided to replace the defrost heater and thermostat.

I had the frig on for 24 hours and the frig is still not cold. The evp coil has ice on it.

I can't seem to locate the defrost timer also. Not sure if this model has a defrost timer.

Now, I'm starting to think that I have a bad board.

Can anyone confirm? Any help would be great.

Thanks all

This is an awesome board.

GLL

Default Help

I have a GE Model# GTS22WCMARWW.
The freezer is freezing but the frig is not cold. I replaced the Evaporator Motor and it does not turn on. I had the mother board replaced about 4 years ago.
