Model Number: STO328845 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years
I Have Replaced The Ice Maker In My Kitchen Aid Refridgerator.
model #KSRG22FKWH17. serial #ST0328845 It Will Make Ice For A Short While And Then It Won't Harvest Ice. When I Purge The Water System Then It Will Harvest Ice. Now It Will Not Harvest Ice. have replace this unit twice. THE DOOR OPTICS FLASH TWICE RED PAUSE THEN TWICE AGAIN. EVEN WHEN YOU CLOSE THE FLAP. BUT I DO SEE THAT THE FLAP IS BROKEN ON THE SIDE. Hello. The light on your optics should stay on steady when the flapper is pressed in and the emitter-to-receiver beam is not blocked. If the light is flashing 2 pulses with a one second pause between, this is an indication that the optics [AP3137510] have failed and require replacement. Hope you find this information helpful!

Hello Moore. If the flap won't stay in place, this will have to be corrected. This will cause the issue as it interferes with ice maker operation. Hope this was useful. Have a great day!
