Start relay clicks, compressor does not start.
OEM# 5300151531
replacement# AP3313863

Part is no longer available. My question:
Is there any way to substitute with another part (AP4503032 perhaps?)?

Or what other options do I have??

Thanks!

Your overload device is cutting probably due to a failed start device.
Check and verify you have R12 refrigerant, should be on the model # tag.
Next, check the start device. Is it a coil relay type, or a small, plastic item? Post info.
If an R12 system, and assuming the compressor is not shorted, a universal start device can be used. To wire it up, the common pin is the top one, bottom left the start pin and bottom right the run pin.

The coil type start relays are very reliable, but you can try a new start device AP4503418, cheap enough at $17 Before installing, it's best to check compressor for shorts to ground, a shorted compressor will make this device get dangerously hot.
