Just replaced the ice maker, now makes ice fine. However, the ice dispenser does not run. There is 120V at the connector to the ice auger motor all the time (doesn't seem right). The ice dispenser lever does not return to the fully closed position, and the ice chute drops down slightly when the lever is depressed (I have to push the chute up slightly to get it nearly to the closed position. Even so, the little flapper that closes off the chute from the interior does not fully close. It seems that there may be something broken or out of place inside the door assembly. Is it possible to dissemble the ice dispenser assembly from the freezer door? I've got the door off the refrigerator and have removed the trim pieces, but can't see how to further disassemble things. Are there internal latches that I can somehow release? If I do find broken parts, any chance they might be available (I see lots of "Not Available, contact us" for parts for this freezer door. Thanks!

After posting my original question, I found the (partial) answer to how to remove the face plate of the dispenser. While it indicated to use a putty knife to pry under the edge, it did not state where (there are two small notches on the bottom edge) or that it takes quite a lot of force (with a screwdriver) to pop it off (I was afraid of breaking this expensive part). Once I got the front off, my problem was clear - the ice chute was unsnapped from the lever. After disassembling, cleaning and reassembling, the ice lever was unreliable at depressing the two microswitches - due to flex in both the lever and the switch mounting frame. I glued a small piece of plastic to the wall of the housing to support the switch bracket. Now everything (in the door dispenser) appears to work properly. Just have to reassemble the door to the freezer and check out the entire assembly.Hopefully, the auger motor is OK.
