Need to know which terminal on compessor is run and which is start. The bottom single terminal is common but not sure about two top terminals. If you're looking directly at terminals there are two on top and one underneath. Thanks.

Resistance checks on the start and run compressors will not allways determine which is run and start. Best to check the start device resistance.
If the start device looks like the part AP3737992, hold the device with the input spade terminals facing you. Put one ohmeter lead in one of the input male spade terminals that the fridg plug goes into, the other lead in either output round terminal, but not the common terminal. If no resistance, put the input lead in the other terminal, If you now get 0.0 ohms to one of the output terminals, that is the run pin. This test will work even if the start device is burnt out.
If you have no meter, carefully split the start device at a seam with a sharp wood chisel. You will see a brass ribbon gowing between one of the side by side input terminals the frid. plug goes to and one of the side by side compressor terminals. That pin is the run pin.

If you need a new start device AP3737992, order it here. If you have a meter, we can identify the compressor pins by checking that device, but you do not need identify the pins as this is a direct replacement.
