Trying to figure out way my freezer drain line keeps freezing... I see they make a repair part to fix this on some models but wasnt sure if it will work on mine. Repair part number wr49x10254. Will it fix my problem or do I have a bad drain heater wr51x10082??

Model number psb42lsrabv serial number hg070611.

Thanks,
Danny

The kit is
Part number: AP4981608
Part number: AP4981608

I was able to find an install sheet (see the attachment)
It does show the kit is applicable to a PSB42.

I would check that the drain pan heater is OK.
I do not know what the resistance should be but it should have continuity.
My guess would be that it will be around 100 ohms.

Any idea about the application for my serial number? Mine is HG070611 and the install sheet says it fits serial numbers FG070000 to GR0799999. I assume mine falls within these numbers?

Was able to get someone from GE on the phone that was able to get me an answer that the service kit is for my model and serial number.

Thanks denman for your input and sending the service letter.

Hopefully someone can help. I have a PSB48LGRABV. All symptoms indicate I have a clogged defrost drain hose. Lava ice and the freezer door cannot be opened right after opening a previous time. I have to wait.

Can anyone tell me where the heck the drain host is located on my unit? Thank you in advance.
