Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 6/7/2009(UTC) Posts: 19		2 1/2 months ago my refrigerator was warm and freezer was fine. Replaced the defrost timer and all seemed fine for about 1 month, then the same thing happened. This time replaced the thermostat and watched it for a few days. Everything seemed good, it was defrosting properly. Put it back together and started using it again. Today, a month and a half later, the same darn thing is going on. All I know that's let is the heater. Can the heater be bad if it is defrosting when I put the freezer in defrost mode? Any and all help is greatly appreciated, Tom

Also, your suggestion made me think of another thing that I have not mentioned. When touching bare metal on the frig (such as when removing toe kick) I receive a slight shock. Also when I was cleaning the back and touched the unpainted metal. It doesn't do it all the time. Could this be a sign of a wiring problem. Check the wiring especially where it bends around the frame, could be a wire has lost it's insulation. A bad ground can also be in the wall receptacle.
