I just replaced the defrost timer and was changing the relay because of excessive clicking noises and cooling issues. The problem is the new relay wr7x253 only has two wire clips on it, the old relay has three wires two blacks and an orange wire. how is the third wire attached. it is the right part but a GE substitution. Thanks in advance

Both parts look the same. Your other relay may have had a provision to attach an optional run capacitor. This is a plug in replacement, should work.If your fridg has a run capacitor(usually near the compressor), you will have problems if it's not wired in between the run and start pins
