My freezer just quit working one day. No compressor noise. This is not a frost free freezer so it has coils on every shelf. I'm thinking it's part of the relay but not sure how to test. Any help would be awesome!

After messing with it last night I found that the compressor is getting power. It was on the verge of being too hot to touch, and makes no noise. Any help would be great.

I would be interested to see a reply from the experts as I, too, am having a similar problem with my freezer.

If the compressor is not vibrating, pry off the black start device and shake it. if it rattles, replace it AP2113680 If you have a meter, check the start device across the two bottom round pins, if open, it's bad.
