Hello,

I recently purchased a new dual valve water inlet for my Fridgidaire FRS24BGGB2 Gallery fridge.

The orig. valve had screw on hoses to the valve, as many of you all know (and as I learened from carefully searching this sight, thanks!), the new valves have the simple push-to-fit connectors. I followed this site's, and various youtube videos, advice to cut off the screw connector and push in a flatly cut tube into their respective valve connections.

Problem is, now, the valve still leaks! I'm theorizing this may have to do with the old tube's rigidity (i.e. it's too hard and can't make a secure fit). Can any of you all confirm this? Or perhaps there is something I am missing.

Many thanks in advance!

UPDATE: it seems the hose was cracked and was the cause of the leak. Moral of the story for me: "if at first you don't succeed try again" ;)

Thanks to everyone that helped others before me that had troubles with an inlet valve
