Model Number: MSD2556AEW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
I recently bought a complete ice maker assembly for my Maytag plus refridgerator. I had to do some small things like switch out the the (hard wire) that you switch up and down to turn the ice off and on from the old assembly. I also used took the wiring harness off of the old unit and put it on the new unit. The old unit would make Ice but would bind up a lot....messed with trying to make sure the bracked that held the unit was level....that didnt help. Looked at the unit when I took it out and the area that holds the water inlet tube was broke so I believe that was causing the issue, anyway I have hooked everything back up just as it was before......now I am not getting any water down the inlet tube to the assembly. Is there something that has to be reset on the new assembly?....recommendations?
