I have a whole house water filter plus a UV light so I would like to bypass my water filter in the fridge. I found a bypass part number AP4071056 that is supposed to fit my fridge. Is there an instruction guide for this bypass?

The problem is it looks like just an end cap. My filter (4396841) looks like a long tube that is approximately 18 inches long that goes in the bottom. It has 2 nipples that plug into 2 holes near the back of the fridge.

Is this the right bypass? If so how does it work? I assumed a bypass would look like an empty filter or something that had a tube that went between the 2 holes in the back. If this is an end cap, does that whole filter housing tube fill with water?

Thanks
