A friend gave me her used Side-by-side, stainless steel, kitchen aid fridge. It was absolutely filthy and disgusting. In cleaning it out I had to take apart most of the internal parts (there were some kind of bug egg carcasses or something everywhere). When I took apart the control box in the fridge, I failed to take pics, and can't figure out how to reassemble certain parts.
The short connecting rod, part#AP3135772 made by WHIRLPOOL, for one. This little rod connects to the long connecting rod through the pivot arm. Now it seems like the short rod should connect to the freezer air flow control slider in the control box, but I just can't figure it out. Its got an odd shape on the end that just doesnt seem to connect to anything properly. Im going nuts, here, please help. I can post pics if I have to, but if you can help me out without all the trouble, that'd be great.
There are a few more parts I need help with... and an icemaker that seems to have caught fire at some point since Ive had it and burned the icemaker box a bit (leaving a hopefully not impossible burnt plastic stench, even after I removed the icemaker). I really need help and if I can salvage this fridge, it'll be a life-saver for my family. Thanks guys.
Here's the diagram of the parts of the control box:
