I have a kenmore trio that has the adaptive defrost. The evap fan quit after a power outage.I replaced the motor but the fan will not operate.I get conflicting info on ehether the fan is controlled by the adaptive circuit board.I don't want to spend the money on the adc if it could be something else. model 59675509400 bottom freezer

Well I checked a few other sites and decided to replace the adc control board #12868513 and it now works. It is evident the evaporator fan motor is powered through the adaptive defrost and not the defrost thermostat or other source.
Most of the posts in here on the evap fan tests are misleading and if you hook 110 volts to your motor to test it you will burn it out.
Come on now guys please get some help on here for us with Kenmore's
