hi i have this amana f/freezer with large pull out freezer draw on bottom the problem i suspect wnich is the bored ,i would like it confimed .with the door closed the compessor and condensor fan wont run if i open the door the compressor and fan run if i press light swith in compressor and fan stop i would be gratful for a answer

Very unusual problem. Only thing I can think of is the pc board AP43666538 is bad and the voltage input from the door switch puts it into defrost.

hi thanks for a quick reply what you said sounds about right ive done refigeration in england for about 40 years but we just starting to get alotof these amanas and maytags coming through so getting parts have been a bit of a problem now ive found appliance parts it should not be a problem ive heared somwhere when you fit thisnew bored you have to reset the code is that correct:) regards

Yes, per the jnstuctions you have to put in the code. Don't do what I did, you must push in the numbers till the display blinks, like a few seconds, other wise it's not entered.
