3 year old side by side. Over past 3 weeks have had 3 times when frame was hot to very hot (once 130F), especially mullion between FC and RC. Cleaned coil from front and rear. Seemed to get better. Yesterday happened again (coils clean now). Pulled out and removed lower rear cover. Noticed condensor fan NOT running. FC now showing 8F and rising.
Placed small fan blowing onto compressor and coil. My plan was to try and lower FC temp and then test fan. But- 2 hours later- condensor fan runing and now FC at 0F. Still running with frig pulled out, lower cover off, and external fan on. FC=0F still. Look at condensor fan every time I go by and it is running. My local repair tech can't get to me for a week.
I'm game- what do you suggest?
