The manufacturer claims that the filter located in the top right of the fresh food compartment can be changed without any dis-assembly but I found it to be easier to remove the cover and Styrofoam insulator first as this plastic filter housing can be too tight to remove with these items in place. There is one screw that goes straight up in a hole in the cover. Remove this screw and the cover will come off with a few wiggles and don't forget to put the Styrofoam insulator back during re-assembly as this prevents the filter area from freezing. Once this is removed, simply unscrew the filter cup off counterclockwise. The filter is inside this cup. The replacement filter part number is AP2539088. Reassembly is just the reverse of dis-assembly. The screw is easy to start if you allow the cover to droop enough to see the hole in the fresh food ceiling. Good luck! =]
