Model Number: PFS22MISBBN Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My refrigerator is stuck at 58 degrees. We just replaced the main board as the temperature contol settings were not lighting up and it would not cool at all. The compressor is kicking on and off and it is set at the factory settings of 0 and 38. Any ideas of what the problem could be now?

Remove the motherboard cover and locate the 3 pin power connector. Remove the connector and put a jumper wire between the connector mating pins as labled on the motherboard line and comp. Plug in refrigerator. If the compressor still kicks out, you might have a bad start device, rather rare for GE, but possible.
