My freezer seems to be working fine, but when I put meat or chicken or anything else in the freezer in ziplock bags ice crystals form within a day or two. Then it starts to turn to freezer burn.
Never had this problem before. Even frozen food from the store already packaged gets ice crystals in it.
What can I do?

A model number may help others help you.

Take a bowl of Ice cubes and put them in the freezer it they all freeze together then the freezer is getting too warm every once in a while.

Could be the thermostat has gone intermittent and is sticking open everyonce in a while.

Could be that the defrost thermostat is not working or is intermittent.
It should open just above freezing and kill power to the defrost heater.
Defrost is a timed function so the thermostat ensures that the ice/frost is melted off the evaporator coils but that excessive heat is not introduced into the freezer.
If it is deformed/bulged then it would be at the top of the list.
