Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

Hi - having problem with Kenmore Fridge. Fridge and Freezer not cold. Compressor is warm to hot when plugged in. Hear clicking sound and can see small spark at compressor every couple of minutes, but compressor never actually comes on. Fan is working, all lights and displays working. Any ideas would be appreciated, I am trying to help a neighbor who is having economic problems and can't afford a pro ! Hoping I can figure it out with your help and fix it. Searched Manufacturers Part site but not sure which part(s) it could be. Thanks

Very likely the problem is a bad start device. The refrigerator has to be unplugged ASAP until it's fixed. Hopefully the compressor is not damaged yet.

The model number you posted is incorrect and I'm not able to look up the part you needed. Verify and repost the model number please.
