Freezer side is working fine. Refrigerator side is warm/hot. Damper door is staying shut. When I pry it open, it opens by itself, but when I check back later it is closed. I have placed something in it to keep it open. What should I replace? Does a thermostat operate the damper door or does the damper have its own thermostat? If it is the damper door is it just a matter of unscrewing it and reconnecting the wires, or is it more complicated than that? Any other suggestions?
Thanks

You may have a bad motherboard or a bad thermistor. If you have a meter you can go to my comments (South Jersey data sheet) in the above "sticky" GE (GS** and PS) refrigerators for info on this problem.
