I'm trying to verify the correct part for a problem I'm having with a Hotpoint (GE) side by side refrigerator with ice/water dispenser. The ice dispenser wouldn't work periodically and eventually stopped working. The water dispenser continued working for a short time and then stopped. Before each completely stopped working, I could jiggle the slide switches to get them to work. Now nothing works. The light still works with the switch, the light still comes on when depressing the dispenser pad, and the dispenser still clicks.

I thought the part I needed was the Control Board (part # AP2071638) but when speaking to the rep at AppliancePartsPros, she said if the light still worked, it was probably the Solenoid ASM (part # AP3672839). I thought the clicking meant the solenoid was not the problem.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

after the ice comes out the door the little flap is stuck and wont close does the front panel come off so i can get to the flap easily ? its like the spring is stuck and wont let it shut
