Model Number: mtb1955ara Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
In recent days my fridge has been running constantly. I believe that the defrost timer needs to be replaced, and am waiting for the part to arrive.
Once the part is here, and it is replaced , I would like to test the temperature controls. I am not sure if the control is stuck in closed position. Please advise how to test? Thanks for you time. Ads By Google Related Models |

Actually, my question is how would I test the temperature control unit outside of the refridgerator. In other words, I would like to test for continuity, by using an ohmmeter. Do I have to cool the unit down first to check if the control interupts the circuit? Thank you for your reply.
