My maytag freezer is not freezing.

About 1 month ago my automatice ice maker stop working. I am still able to get water dispensed. I have lifted the arm up to turn off. There is water in the ice maker it's just not turnig to dispense the ice into the bin.
Now, I noticed that the freezer is NOT freezing. All vent areas are not blocked and i have raise the temp..to the coldest. However, i still see no change in temperature.
what could this be??
Should i unplug and defrost?
