Model Number: MBV1976AAB Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
On August 21, 2004 i purchased a SkyBox by Maytag Personal Beverage Vender for my mother. We absolutely love it. The other day, I noticed that none of the beverages were cold. I took everything out, unplugged it overnight, put everything back in the next morning. I then checked the beverages a few hours later, and they were still warm. I called the service number in the manual (Maytag), and they said they quit making these machines in 2006, and they cannot help me out. I am not sure what is wrong with the machine. The machine has been unplugged for several days now. I just plugged it in, and everything seems to be working, except the beverages DO NOT get COLD. Are you abel to help me out with this machine?
Skybox by Maytag Personal Beverage Vender: Model # MBV1976AAB (when I called about your services, I was told to put a B at the end of my Model #.) Thank you for taking the time to read my e-mail. Hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks again, Tami Gutz Ads By Google Related Models |

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for MAYTAG MBV1976AAB PERSONAL BEVERAGE CENTER | AppliancePartsPros.com I did not think that any tech info on this unit would be available but after some searching got lucky and found the following service manual. 16022983 Maytag Skybox Personal Vending Machine Service Manual - ApplianceDigest.com You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer. That's the good news. The bad news is that I cannot be of much help as I have never seen this unit. With luck someone who has will chime in. The following are just general suggestions. Check to see if the compressor is running, usually you can hear it but you should also be able to feel it vibrating. Go through the troubleshooting in the manual.
