I have recently had a local repair company look at our ice maker several times. The last visit the notes from the repair man were "Showing signs of mineral & rust deposits on plate. Cleaned with scale remover. If ice still sticks to evaporator due to rust the unit will need to be replaced." Is it possible that replacing the evaporator will correct this problem? I believe the cutter grid is fairly new. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
