I just finished my first defrost and clearing of an ice blockage in my ice maker, but now I seem to have a recurrance of an old issue - the ice is really slow to get made. It seems like the dispenser is only putting out about 3 or 4 trays worth of cubes A DAY. Seems like that should be more productive than that.

Does anyone know what controls the frequency of ice creation, and what can be done to adjust or troubleshoot this? every once in a while we will find that it is REALLY productive and it will crank out a whole recevinv tray full in just a few hours - but that is pretty rare.

The temp in the freezer is the main thing. Make sure it's around 0 degrees.
